Technology in the 21st Century Classroom

The Ontario Public School Boards' Association has released a discussion paper called "What if - Technology in the 21st Century Classroom". This paper takes a look at the impacts of technology for the student, teacher and school leadership group.
Papers such as these certainly spur different thoughts and healthy discussion is always promoted. To that end, we have set up a discussion forum to look at the ideas expressed here. To join the discussion, click here to go to our Blueprints for Change moodle. If you haven't made an account there yet, please do so - look on the right side of the login page. Once you have an account, please add your thoughts to the "What if" forum found there at the bottom of the page.

A Wealth of Resources

The Quest continues! Please further the dialogue through tools available on this site. Podcasts, webcasts and online discussion forums provide an opportunity to continue sharing in the rich message delivered at this year’s Quest conference. In order to participate in online discussions please create a user account on the left side bar and login.

For support with the technology related to the Quest site please contact your area Computer Resource Teacher.

Rogers Video Portal

Student-Led Interviews

A group of students from Stephen Lewis S.S. under the direction of Neil Press were asked to capture footage from the Quest conference and interview attendees to get some reflections on what they took away from the experience. Those interviewed (with links) included  Bill Hogarth (Director of Education, YRDSB), Brian Stone (Coordinator of Quest), and Jim Forbes (Principal, Literacy @ school).
